ABOUT US
ABOUT US
Our two strongest areas of ministry are Kids & Missions.
A large team of trained volunteers serve in our many ministries to children and teens. Check out our Kids page to learn about the many opportunities for your family.
The words of Jesus to "go and make disciples of all nations" is taken seriously here.
We are deeply involved with our community. In Sheboygan County we serve the needs of people who are:
Recovering from divorce
Incarcerated (and their families)
Wanting a healthy marriage
Struggling with addiction
Hungering for food and connection
Traveling with a carnival
Learning how to raise a family
Living with disabilities
Experiencing financial issues
Fostering children
And any other needs God places in front of us
Through the generosity of the Christian Life family we support 75 missionary partners throughout most areas of the world.
Come be a part of this and much more!

OUR STAFF
Scott Roix
Lead Pastor
Pastor Scott lives in Sheboygan, WI, where he and his wife, Gina delight in the joy of parenting eleven children and celebrating life with 16 grandchildren. Born in Maine, Scott has found a second coastal home in the inland sea of Lake Michigan, whose beauty reminds him daily of God's creative majesty.
A devoted follower of Christ and dedicated church leader, Scott lives to see others encounter Jesus. Whether ministering in the sanctuary or exploring unknown roads in his Prius, he carries a heart full of worship and deep love for the Church
Amberlyn Barribeau
Family Pastor
Amberlyn (Pastor Bear) has served as Family Pastor since 2019. She helps guide all of our kids' ministries - from coordinating volunteers and keeping the bubble machine running, to encouraging kids as they explore Bible Passages, and kneeling alongside them as they pray.
Outside of ministry, she and her husband, Seth, love a little adventure, from trying new foods to roller coasters and travel. She's a former sign language interpreter, has a soft spot for her Scottish Fold cat, and never says no to banana-flavored snacks!
Riah Walker
Youth & Worship Pastor
Social Media
Pastor Riah has lived in Plymouth since coming on staff in 2022. She is enthusiastic about empowering the Next Generation to know and love God, and loves creating environments where people can encounter the Lord through worship and the creative arts.
When she's not in ministry, she is probably off on a fictional adventure in one of her 400+ books, sipping a lavender honey latte, quoting lines from a '90s sitcom, or cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Laura Kern
Kids Discipleship Pastor
Pastor Laura has dedicated over 30 years to serving as Kids Discipleship Pastor, helping children grow closer to God and discover their gifts through service. Married for 35 years to her spouse, Bill, Laura is blessed with two daughters, both married to wonderful men, and one adorable grandson. She guides students in various roles, from teaching in kids' church and greeting, to nursery, tech, worship, and puppets. Laura finds joy in seeing students grow in their confidence and relationships with others and God.
Outside of ministry, she enjoys making birthday and anniversary cards, spreading encouragement and joy year-round.
Mary Kirk
Financial Secretary
Mary started attending CLC when she moved to Plymouth in 2001 with her 7 children. Christian Life has helped her grow as a Christian by showing her how a church family truly helps the widows and fatherless.
She came on staff in 2019 and plays a crucial role in the financial management and stewardship of our church.
When not at church, you will most likely find Mary playing Pickleball at one of the many courts in Plymouth. She plays 2x a day, 5 days a week!
Gay Lynn Borgenhagen
Administrative Assistant/Online
Gay Lynn lives in the Northern Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin with her husband of 40+ years. She's been part of the CLC family since 1985, serving in ministry since 1990, and came on staff in 2008. She's passionate about prayer and supporting the pastors, deacons, staff, and volunteers while doing what she can to help people feel seen, known, and loved. Her favorite Bible study material is The Bible Project, and she reads The Lord of the Rings trilogy or the Chronicles of Narnia every year.
Naomi Borgenhagen
Administrative Assistant
Graphic Design
Naomi lives in Sheboygan Falls with her husband, two teenagers, two cats, and one ancient dog. She's been on staff since 2014 but has called CLC home since 1995. She has a drive for creativity and communication. She loves supporting our pastors, ministry leaders, and church family with whatever resources they need to thrive and communicate clearly. Naomi is also the Girls Ministries Coordinator for our Wednesday night clubs. One of her favorite things is supporting the leaders and connecting with the girls.
In her free time, Naomi enjoys gardening, trying new foods, going thrifting, and seaglass hunting.
